Ava Luna is a New York City-based group so eclectic, to simply call them "indie" or "pop" or "indie pop" would do a disservice to their blend of funk, punk and electronic music. I caught up with Julian Fader (drums), Felicia Douglass (vocals/synths) and Becca Kauffman (vocals/synths, a.k.a. Jennifer Vanilla) on release day for their latest full-length Moon 2 and chatted with them about wanting more out of touring, making the most of your band's hiatus and the allure of Times Square.
