Sellin' Out

"Doc Marten Bootstraps" w/ Eric Annicchiarico (Au Revoir)

Episode Summary

Bless the group chat | Parents’ basements forever | Literally foreign | “Why am I so fucking poor?” | The Uninsured Dental Hygiene Regimen | "Who hasn’t played in The Saddest Landscape?" | From one piece of shit to another | UberXXXL | DIY lifespan | “You’re young, aren’t you?” | "If this is the future, I'm out" | From rioting at The Rites of Spring to thumbing through Twitter | Neon green & safety yellow | They can't all be bangers

Episode Notes

Eric is the guitarist and de facto bandleader of Au Revoir, a post-rock (and by turns post-metal) band with members converging in New Jersey from far-flung corners of the US. You might know them as the band who climbed on each others' shoulders and stuck a huge dildo way up on Cloud Gate (aka The Bean) in Chicago, but you may also know them by their highly ambitious tour schedule, so we talked about going intercontinental, using your band's van as your daily driver and the oversaturation of DIY resources.
